I heard is was just a cost savings. I guess they don't get many visitors after 3 so are looking to utilize the staffing elsewhere in a more efficient manner.

I'm not sure how much truth there is to that but it seems to make sense.

I dont have a clue but my guess would be that not enough people go to it for them to staff it for the whole day. Disney is in a cost cutting mood as of late.
It is a shame that people don't check out One Man's Dream it's a great look at Walt Disney and seeing he's grade school desk, the Oscar's and all the history of Walt Disney One Man's Dream.

I know. That's probably my favorite attraction. I used to go there ALL the time, definitely after 3pm and just wander around while I waited for my friend to get off work and just because it's such a good exhibit. When I heard about the Walt Disney Family Museum, I immediately thought of this wonderful walk-through. You are both right in that it never did get many visitors. It just makes me sad to see it cut early like that. It puts up the red flags that closure is the next step... hopefully not though!!!

It broke my heart when they closed "The Walt Disney Story" in the Magic Kingdom, and I wouldn't be surprised if they closed "One's Man Dream" at some point as well. I think it should be required to see this attraction - it makes you appreciate WDW that much more!

While my husband ends up sleeping through most of the movie every time (except for our last visit when he insisted on whispering "I'm still awake!" every 30 seconds for the duration of it) we would certainly be heart broken if One Man's Dream closed for good. We make a point of stopping by every trip. I always walk out feeling so appreciative of Walt Disney and all his dreams he was able to turn into realities...and it makes me cry every time. The movie always gives me that anything is possible feeling.
