Where's your home resort? Is it your favorite or do you prefer another?

My husband and I joined in at Animal Kingdom Lodge and we love it there! We joined DVC solely because of the addition of AKL to DVC. We honeymooned there and felt that it was unlikely we'd be able to afford many future stays there. So at first buying into DVC was so we could feel like we'd always be able to stay at AKL.

After joining in we recieved incentive points and have had a fabulous year! Our first trip was well after the booking windows so we ended up at BCV, OKW and WLV over the course of 6 nights! We were thrilled with all those resorts as well and have stayed since again at OKW & BCV as well as finally getting in our first stays at AKL.

We're so excited about the opening of Kidani Village as well! We already have booked Memorial Day weekend there this coming year. Can't wait!

4 contracts and counting. We have:
Vero Beach - 175
2 at SSR - 280
1 at AKV - 150
for a total of 605 points. We were thinking of BLT, but with the economy like it is, I don't want to push it. Besides, airfare is through the roof. We bought our first contract in 02 after looking for 10 years but never being able to afford it. So glad we did it!

I've been a DVC Member since 2005 and my home resort is Saratoga Springs Resort. My favorite DVC Resort is the Boardwalk. I love the fact that I can walk or take a boat to Epcot and MGM.

Jack and I joined DVC in 2001, with 200 points at The Villas at Winderness Lodge. In 2002, we added 50 points from Vero Beach. This year, 2008, we added on another 100 points at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We stayed at AKL this last trip, and we were less than happy with it. They stuck us in a room that was on the end of the Zebra Trail. That means our room was about 300 miles from the lobby, and another 300 miles to our car in the parking lot. I couldn't believe Disney had designed a resort that was soooo unuser friendly. Yes, the lobby is beautiful, but after a long day at the parks, the last thing I want to do is hike to get to my room. I have high hopes for Kidani Village, as I will NEVER stay at AKL again. It's a good thing we can use our points elsewhere.

My husband and I joined at the Boardwalk and we love it! We have also stayed at VWL, OKW, and Saratoga Springs. We head down for our annual Christmas Trip soon. I love being close to Epcot.

Our home resort is SSR. We will be doing an add on at AKV and BLT very soon. We don't have kids so we bring family and friends. The next trips booked are Jan. and May '09.

Our home resort is Saratoga Springs. It's not my favorite resort, at this point. That "honor" goes to Old Key West. Although, I'm on a quest to try them all out. So in January we are going "home" and will be staying at VWL. I think what makes OKW terrific for us, is the size of the villa's. I have 6 children, so the 2 bedroom is soooo much bigger than at SSR. I'm not so concerned about being in the middle of everything, although I like the location of the Beach Club Villa's and the Boardwalk villa's. But comfort is a big factor for us.

My home resort is Saratoga Springs, and my boyfriend and I have stayed there twice. (Just joined DVC in 2007.) Both times, we were lucky enough to be in The Springs (nearest the main building), so grabbing a bite to eat or refilling our resort mugs was very convenient, along with a very short walk to the bus stop. We loved taking the ferry to Downtown Disney. Oh, and one of these trips was for my birthday last year, so I'll always have very fond memories of coming back to our studio to find a special birthday surprise!

The only other DVC resort we've stayed in is the Boardwalk, and we loved it! (I now wish I'd bought into DVC when I took a tour at the Boardwalk back in 1997!) We were visiting for a Star Wars Weekend, and being a short boat ride from DHS was great! (We also boated to and from Epcot a few times.) We loved being so close to two parks, and just the whole atmosphere of the Boardwalk was wonderful! I realize we have many more resorts to experience, but for now, if I could choose to stay at any of them, it would be Boardwalk. (Well, at least until we're lucky enough to score a room at Bay Lake! Can't wait to stay that close to MK!)

Our home is Bay Lake Towers. We didn't get to stay there last trip :-( However, I have a 2 bedroom suite MK view in October. This will be my 2nd DVC stay but I think my first DVC full experience.
