Hi Fellow DVCers!
Just thought I'd do a quick post with a smattering of my photos I took at Kidani last week. It is GORGEOUS! Love it, love it, love it! Here's some of my photos...

Driving up to the resort. After you enter the security gate just before Jambo House you head down past Jambo House before arriving at the official Kidani Village signage:

Facing the front from the check in parking lot

First time walking into the lobby (I wanted this picture for our awesome DVC Rep!)

Our savannah view studio room (basically looks just like the DVC rooms at Jambo House)

Just behind the lobby to the side is the library area with lots of nice seating, it also has a raise overlook towards the main savannah. In this picture you can also see the main public walk out area for animal viewing.

The library features a fireplace that at night is a cozy place to relax after a long day at the parks. We were very happy one night to find the area empty and relaxed for awhile.

The light fixtures in the lobby are in my opinon at least - absolutely incredible.

Looking back towards the main lobby from the public savannah viewing area...

There is artwork everywhere in this resort lobby and in the hallways and common areas. This piece was featured in the quarterly DVC Disney Files magazine. It was lovely treat to quickly find it featured at the resort. I'm so glad they did that little piece on the creation of this.

Samawati Springs is laid out so neat that photos can't do it justice. Leaving from the main lobby you first eventually encounter the building that houses the Survival Of the Fittest workout center as well as bathrooms and lockers for the pool. Behind that is the first hot tub which is right now the "pretty" one. Although based on the walls set up on the far side of the pool right now I believe the other hot tub will actually look towards Pembe savannah when it opens! Here's the one that I thought was currently the "pretty" hot tub.

Also up by this hot tub is a great overlook to the children's play area including a pond at the top. Super neat themeing in this whole area! From behind this overlook you take stairs down to first the pool slide and the eventually the pool to your left, the children's play area to your right. Continuing along the walkway eventually is the 2nd hot tub and off to the right the Maji pool bar. Here's that overlook.

Overall like I said, its a beautiful resort. We had a wonderful time there and found that compared to other trips we didn't spend as much time in the parks as we normally would because there was just so much exploring to do at Kidani!

Thanks for the pictures. This is my home resort and I can't wait to stay there. Did you get to eat at Sanaa?

We had reservations at Sanaa and ended up cancelling them. I'm a very particular eater and we were worried for the cost of the entrees that I might got get my money's worth. :(

We finally found out way down there the last night of our trip and had drinks at the lounge at Sanaa however and that I can say is really nice! They even have a TV like the one in the MK's Cinderella Suite where it looks like a mirror but when you turn it on its really a TV!!! Plus the CMs bartending down there were excellent, one in particular gave us somewhat the history of his time bartending throughout WDW. Really nice guy!

I was just down at the World, and went to visit Kidani Village. I have not been in the rooms, but I hear they are fantastic. What I did not like about the resort was that you had to go outside to walk to different areas of the resort, such as the bus stop. Everything felt soo spread out, especially in Florida where the weather is soo unpredictable. I just stayed at the Wilderness Lodge villas and loved them. I love the convenience of being close to the main building, and I loved all the covered walkways. It is something that kidani should consider doing.

Stitchcrazy, thanks for the pictures....don't know how I missed them for so long! Looks like a beautiful resort. We drove into the resort last year and were a little confused when we saw the parking garage.....really wanted to check out the resort but weren't sure what to do. It's kind of hard to find.... I love the AKL! Thanks!!!

Thanks Karen! Its true Kidani definitely is tucked back there compared to Jambo House. But on the upside I do think it helps make it feel more quaint and relaxing. We always found Jambo House so relaxing but now we feel like especially the main lobby there is like a bustling town center and Kidani Village is the sleepy little town way out of town. :)

Also one of my only disappointments first coming up to the resort is how the parking garage type areas look under the buildings. Not exactly 100% themeing - but I have to tell you after some of the long walks from the parking lots to the DVC rooms especially with a full load of groceries that parking under the building was a godsend! :)
