You know what? I recently went to The World for my Honeymoon and was REALLY disappointed at how they changed Spaceship Earth! It felt like something was missing and it wasn't as fun as it used to be. I thought the addition of the consol and that whole thing was kinda dumb and that was the focus as the ride ends...I didn't have that feeling of, "oh my gosh! That was so fun and relaxing lets go again"! The refurb made me sad!

phew.... i love that ride so much - it just wouldnt be the same if they changed it too much. thank you for the info :D

It's not a lot different. The only thing we noticed that's different is there's an interactive piece now that's cute. The ride takes a picture of you as you're ascending and then it superimposes it on a computer screen at the end of the ride and it also shows on a map in the hands on/exot area.

ok - another question..... i know that Space Ship Earth has had a referb since i last visited - how different is the 'new' ride? has the music changed?

I've found allears.net to be a wonderful resource to look for answers. I checked and hthere are several entries for the question on the Illuminations Cruise. http://allears.net/btp/spcruise.htm is the address for one of them.

I guess it is up to me to ask the first question... Where and how do you book the Epcot Illuminations cruise?
