Hi Casey! How are things going? I saw on facebook you guys saw Toy Story 3 this weekend - hope you enjoyed it! I see it tomorrow night and cannot wait!
We had a bit of a rough week this last week, a week ago Friday my brother-in-law lost his job. So the big family WDW trip is cancelled. Totally heartbreaking. I cannot even imagine how the 4 nieces & nephews must feel when I know how bad I feel about it! Its all they've talked about for months now. :(
So with heavy hearts Kevin and I cancelled our room res and our dining ressies over the course of the last week. We booked a trip for just ourselves for over Labor Day weekend. We just couldn't go at the same time we'd originally planned - too sad!
Hope your husband had a lovely Father's Day today! Are things still chugging along at work? I'm sure it has to be hard to try and get ahead of things and plan ahead for the time off for maternity leave!
Casey! How are things by you this week lady? How's the fam? Are the kids enjoying the start of summer? With winters being so cold and blah here (and sometimes even spring!) its nice to finally see the kids in my neighborhood out and about again! How is your 3rd little Caballero coming along?
Things here are good! The weather has finally been fairly consistently nice and we've been out and about enjoying it. This weekend we are having lunch with our former DVC Rep which we are very much looking forward to! Other than that just counting downt he days still till our trip! (Almost exactly 2 months!)
Hey Casey! How are things by you this week? Hope you had a great holiday weekend! Ours was good but definitely too busy. We're both still exhausted from it all! This weekend should be fairly quieter. We'll be relaxing at home tomorrow night and Sunday. Saturday I am heading to a music festival with a friend which will be nice. But even better to have a quiet day Sunday to relax and get caught up on things around the house!
Yep we are inadvertently going to be at WDW right at the start of free dining! Its not available for DVC members. You have to be staying in a non-discounted cash reservation room and buy theme park tickets for everyone so its not as good a deal for us. The savings the 8 of us are getting from the 2 bedroom DVC room over paying a cash reservation don't come close for the free dining. Plus Kevin and I would have to buy theme park tickets and we already have our APs. We looked at it closely when it was first announced but in the end we do better sticking with the DVC room.
The super downside is we don't have many last minute dining options because of it! Kevin and I are so happy that we booked a bunch of ressies the first chance we could because now there is hardly anything left open during our trip! Which makes sense - free dining fills everything up every time! The good news is once we finally get a chance to sit down with Kevin's brother and sister-in-law and decide what dining ressies to keep - someone will be very happy when we release a couple ones that we won't end up needing!
Two weeks ago I had wanted to change the one character breakfast we booked (Cape May) to Ohana but it was already booked for everyone morning of our whole trip! It doesn't help when you're trying to book for 8 people though either! :) So now I'm just glad we have a little bit of everything booked so we can at least make some decisions and know we are covered no matter what!
Hope the week is treating you well and talk to you soon!!!
Hey lady! I totally hear you about being busy at work - man it has been nuts for me. Every 6 months I have a huge project that I have to turn in and I'm right in the middle of it. I'm about 80% through it so I'm super excited to be so close to finishing! It generally takes me about 3 weeks to complete.
This weekend should be nice. We're having dinner with friends tomorrow night, a nearby zoo just had lion cubs that are first going to be on exhibit this weekend so we're headed there Saturday. Sunday we’re taking our one nephew to Six Flags Great America for his birthday present. And since back in December he went with for his brother’s birthday present to a Milwaukee Bucks game – his brother, our littlest nephew is coming with too. Monday we have a family birthday party for the same nephew and one of our nieces.
Phew! Should be action packed but all good things! How about you? Any big plans? Is work going to stay busy for awhile or will things get a little easier anytime soon?
Hope you have a great long weekend! Talk to you soon!
That's too funny - one of Kevin's oldest friends from childhood has twins named Liam & Logan!
Babies was SO good. Pretty much 75 minutes of going "awww"! The most interesting part was seeing a little slice of life from how all 4 babies families live in SF- CA, Mongolia, Namibia & Tokyo.
YAY!!!! Congratulations!!!! Are your boys excited that its another boy? I love it - your own 3 Caballeros - so cute!!!
Sounds like it was a fabulous day all around!
Things here are good. Work is insane but today was certainly one of the fastest days of work I've had in I don't know how long! We had dinner with Kevin's brother, SIL & the 4 kids Saturday - the kids are SO excited about Disney! I think with school ending in a couple weeks it really has them feeling like its on the way!
Well that's good that you're not away for the entire work week! I'm sure it can't be any fun being away with the family at home. One of my best girlfriends will be in St. Louis next week for work - she works for Purina and has to doing training at their offices there.
5/14 - that is right around the corner! And what a fun birthday present for your huband to find out who exactly it is that is on the way! :) Have you picked out names yet?

Tonight a friend and I are headed out to see the documentary "Babies" that is in theaters now. I'm very excited - it looks so good!
