Disney Forum...
I wanted to let you all know that I started a new Disney Forum.

My day with Walt Disney...
I would go to Disneyland and have him show me how all the magic started. I would ask if we could go on all his favorite rides and do all of his favorite things. I would take tons of pictures with him and maybe video tape it, lol. I would ask him for a tour also. I would ask him if he could tell me all the secrets of Disneyland. My favorite Cast Member encounter...
As many know, I took my parents for their 23rd Anniversary. Well of course I hade to get them Anniversary buttons, and an "I am Celebrating!" button for myself.
Well we headded out to lunch at DCA because the burgers at Taste Pilots' Grill are absolutely awsome!

Yesterday, my daughter and I attended the Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet. It's a convention for Disney fans celebrating all things Disney.
Bob Gurr, who designed many of the rides at Disneyland, was there and spoke about working with Walt Disney in the early days of Disneyland. Margaret Kerry, who was the original model for Tinker Bell was also there and spoke about her experiences.
There were lots of displays and vendors with collectibles and souvenirs. They even had the Dole pineapple whip you get at Disneyland!
A reporter from our local newspaper interviewed us, and today April and I are in a big article about the convention. Since I probably won't get to Disneyland, this convention was a great way to experience the Disney magic. April is still unemployed, so she has to watch her money.
We finally have summer weather after a long and soggy spring.

When are u going to DL again?
We have had a terribly wet Spring. We're all so tired of the rain and gray days. Sure wish it would get sunny. I don't think I will be going to Disneyland this year. My daughter got laid off at the end April and is still unemployed. She has three interviews coming up, so hope she gets a job soon.
Well, it's getting late. I see the doctor tomorrow and get my radiation dates set. Sure will be glad when this is all over. The weekend is coming -- sure hope you have a fun one.
I have been invited to the Cast Preview for the World Of Color next Monday after the park closes!!! soooo excited!!! :)
It has to be hard to not have your DL pass! I am dreading when our WDW passes expire this March. It will be the first time we haven't renewed since we first started doing the APs with the DVC discount like 3 years ago!
Definitely looking forward to my niece from Moscow coming – I can’t believe I’ll be seeing her in like 3 weeks! I’m a little sad because originally when my step sister comes in August (her mom) they were going to go down to WDW and I was hoping to get them to do it while we are there. But Katya had sooo much fun the day we went to our local Six Flags last summer that she told my step sister a couple weeks ago that she would rather go to Six Flags than Disney World!!! Crazy kid! ;) But it will save a lot of time and money during my step sister’s trip here to stay in Wisconsin instead of flying again all the way to Florida.
I’m still amazed that she is picking Six Flags over WDW but at the same time they go fairly regulary to DL Paris because its not that far a flight from Moscow. And she’s already been to WDW and DL so I guess for a world travelling 9 year old maybe a theme park is a theme park??? :)

I can’t even imagine trying to get those kids to pay attention once their big tests are over and the end of the school year is in sight! My niece who is 15 has been emailing me this week about being almost done with school – she has 20 days left but in her mind all she has to do is take her finals! I was like – um I think with 20 days left you probably have a bit more to do than take your finals!!!
We are getting SO excited about the big trip with Kevin’s brother, SIL & the 4 nieces & nephews. And the kids are starting to get really really excited too. My niece who thinks she’s basically done with school also has declared that she will not “survive” waiting 3 more months. :) But I told her that it was already 3months ago that we told them the news about the trip so she’s half way there already! I feel bad once school lets out I have this image of all 4 of them harrassing my SIL like 10 times a day about how many days until the trip!
Gosh only May and it already feels like the summer is filled up with plans! Well today we’re headed to Six Flags for a “its not Disney but I guess it will have to do” fix. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you that you are able to make it to Grad Nite! I know how hard it is to go between trips and it has to be extra hard knowing you are in between Annual Passes right now too!

Things are fine here, except my daughter just got laid off from her work. She just bought her first house. She should be ok for a few months and hopes to go back to school.
In this area we have the annual Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet which is a celebration of all things Disney. There are guest speakers, pin trading, collectibles and all sorts of fun Disney related stuff. April and I have never been before, but we bought our tickets already. The event isn't until August, but the tickets sell out pretty fast. If we can't get to Disneyland, this will be the next best thing.
