Our 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-themed month has just ended, and now it's onto a proper Disney month. This time, the flair is a bit more Frontierland. Join us at Voyages Extraordinaires: Scientific Romances in a Bygone Age!   Last weekend, we also…

Hi Cory I'm sorry I meant to delete that blog, I am no longer selling my Disney things I have to have surgery soon so it's been put on hold. It was way more of a task than I thought and my husband wanted me to wait till I recoup to take on the job. I will post again when it's up for sale, thanks have a great day :-)

I read your trip report and was checking out your pictures - fantastic stuff! I'd love to see some of your non Disney pictures from your trip too if you don't mind posting a few favorites.

Tokyo Disney Report

I've been back home nearly two weeks now, and have finally been able to get my photos and a trip report up on Disfriends. Sorry, but I was busy! I had work, two birthday parties and got a new girlfriend in the course of that two weeks!

Anyways, I fulfilled a lifelong ambition by going to Japan from the 11th to the 23rd of November. I grew up on anime, Godzilla and Nintendo, and visiting the Land of the Rising Sun was one of those things that I always told myself I was going to do "some day". So… Continue

If you could change one attraction's cue line, what would it be? How would you change it?

I would have to do a partial change to the Haunted Mansion.

See, one of the things I dislike about the Anaheim Haunted Mansion - even though it's my favorite ride - is that the haunted house theming doesn't really carry through the whole attraction. The foyer, stretching room, and changing portrait gallery are amazing. The ballroom is amazing. The attic is amazing. Those all look exactly like how a grand old ghost-riddled plantation would look. The rest... not so much.

One of the disappointmen… Continue

What do you think of Walt Disney World's New Volunteerism promotion? Will you volunteer a day to get a free day in the park?

I think it's a great idea and kudos to Disney for promoting volunteerism. I just hope that people remain consistent with their volunteerism and aren't just doing one-off things to get the free day at Disney. The worst case I can see is that the only people who will take advantage of this are the people already volunteering, but even then, it's a nice reward for us ^_^

I already do a fair bit of volunteering myself... I clock in at the Calgary Zoo, Fort Calgary National Historic Site, and am on… Continue

If you could eat one thing only from a Disney park, what would it be?

Dole Whip.

It's the only essential foodstuff. Required eating for the Tiki Room.

But if I could add in something to drink, it would be a Mint Julep.

Now that Disney has purchased Marvel Comics - what should they do with the Marvel characters in the parks?

I'm going to go with "nothing", at least in the Magic Kingdom parks.

Disney is a specific brand within the larger Walt Disney Company, as is Marvel, and I always find it jarring when that brand is mixed with other brands. If Indiana Jones wasn't such a fantastic ride, I don't think I could forgive it being in Adventureland. Twilight Zone is so variable that it doesn't really matter, but in a lot of ways it does feel like I'm stepping out of Disney in order to step into the Tower of Terror. And… Continue
