Wow!! That was fantastic!! It sounds like you had an amazing time in WDW. It's after making me so much more excited about my trip in July.....I'm wishing my life away here :p Can't wait to see the pics of the giraffes, that sounded incredible :)

- I’m so glad you had a wonderful vacation! And that is completely awesome that you rode Splash at 2 am! We always try to stay for the later Extra Magic Hours but we always tired out early in the end. The last time we left Magic Kingdom on an EMH evening it was about midnight and one of the Cast Members at the exit said we needed to “prepare better” for next time so we could stay for the whole night. :) That is so fun that you got a bunch of mugs for souvenirs! Are they all Mickey related or specific parks or characters?
I don’t blame you for not wanting to go again in the summer. It can definitely get HOT there this time of year! We typically go in early December every year for a week and then for a long weekend in May. The May trip is fun but we consider it a trip to get a lot of swimming in and relaxation because you just can’t be out very long in the heat! Our December trip the weather is usually MUCH more agreeable and its easy to find ourselves spending an entire day out and about.
I’m doing well! My husband and I have been having a great summer and we’ve been talking nonstop about our next Disney trip 11/27-12/6. The great part about our next trip is the first half we will be staying at the new Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary which I am SO excited about! And the 2nd half our trip we’ll be at Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas in a one bedroom and my mother will be flying in to join us. She is very excited about coming with and I’ve been talking nearly nonstop with her as well about trip planning!

- I haven't gotten my pictures up here on DisFriends yet, I want to go through and pick out my favorites for my profile! I'm hoping this weekend I'll finally get to it. Part of me has still been in the usual Post Disney Slump and a little too sad about being back to look much at my photos...it makes me think oh dear it really is over! :(

- The boat ride from POFQ to Downtown Disney is the best! Especially lovely at night. I think you'll really enjoy it!

- We are staying at Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge. We're DVC members and own at AKL so we are thrilled to be staying at the new Kidani Village for the first time!
Port Orleans French Quarter is my absolute FAVORITE non-DVC resort at Disney!!! It is gorgeous, the size is more intimate, the brick walkways, fountains and foliage is incredible...I have nothing but great things to say about the resort. In fact when we decided just under 2 years ago to go DVC one of my reasons for holding back was I was worried we'd never stay at POFQ again. I literally made my husband promise we still could! :)
