Make Mine Music...and the World will Sing!

Tomorrow I am going to Issaquah to meet with our Disney club, the "MountainEars" at a train museum. One of our members is also a member of the Carolwood Pacific Railroad Society and he will be giving us a presentation on the DL Railroad (which he especially loves!). Should be a grand time as it is whenever Disney fans get together and share thier love of Disney.

If you have parked in the multilevel garage at DLR it was built on land that used to be Disneyland's official campground called Vacationland. We camped there twice in the early 1980s not long before it closed. You could not really tell it was a Disney place except that there was a store and cast members. We were on the 3rd and last day of our trip to Disneyland pushing our niece around in a stroller heading for another and final ride on Small World before we left. As we turned the corner by the Matterhorn and she saw where we were heading she stands up in the stroller and yells "It's Disneyland, It's Disneyland" She is now 22 and I still have fun telling her that story.

One of the fondest memories of Disneyland was going back and forth on Carousel of Progress (COP) and Adventures Through Inner Space (ATIS). Why, you ask did I go back and forth? Well back then Disneyland had tickets for most of the rides. We usually had one or if we were lucky 2 books to use at the park. It did not take us long to run out of "E" tickets, then "D" and down the line. That left only the free rides of which the most fun to me were the ones mentioned above.
