Hi Shirley! Yes we made it here right on time last night thankfully, I think we were the only area to not get really bad snow! How are you doing? Hope everything is going as good as possilble!
Hi Shirley! Not sure if you'll be checking in here at DisFriends between now and Wednesday but I just wanted to wish you good luck and a very speedy recovery! I'll be thinking of you and I can guarantee I'll get a ride in on Pirates in your honor! (Although I have to tell you that the WDW Pirates is nowhere near as good as the one you are used to at Disneyland!!!)
If you get a chance eventually to check in and let us know how you are doing please do! My thoughts and prayers will be with you my friend!
Hello! I'm so glad u stopped by to day hi! Everything is going well for me. I'm just keeping busy at work and enjoying my weekends off. I hope all is well for you also! I hope to have a DL trip this month but it might not fall through. I also have a trip planned to go to San Diego with my best friend so I'm trying to save up for that, but hopefully things work out and I can go to both trips :D
I'm sorry you don't have a trip planned for anytime soon. I will have my fingers crossed that you win the lotto! :)
I'm sad to hear that you have to go through with surgery on Wednesday, But I know all will go well. My thoughts are with you, and I hope you get well soon so that you can get back to your normal routine. It will be nice to get a break from everything, I think you will enjoy time off to do some of the little things you enjoy doing.
Well, I hope to hear from you soon! Have a magical weekend :D
Hi Shirley! Yes I think Buddy has been very embarrassed about his issues lately. I feel that he seems very remorseful about his problems and it just makes the whole situation that much harder. But he’s made some progress in the last day here or so and my hope is he’ll continue to do so!
Glad your backup is trained and ready to handle things while you are out. Definitely the last thing one needs to worry about is work when you want to focus on taking care of yourself after the surgery!
Kevin and I try to do the same thing – trying something new we have never done before – for every Disney trip! We have not figured out our “new” thing for this trip but I have a feeling it will end up being dining somewhere we have never dined before. WDW has so many restaurant options that we have barely begun to try them all! It doesn’t help that we have our favorites so every trip we try to get in some favorites and then add one new place to try out!
This trip I am most looking forward to our first full day when we’re going to leave Disney property (gasp! ;) ) and head to Universal Orlando for a day, our anniversary dinner at the steakhouse Le Celier in Canada at Epcot and meeting up with one of my favorite DisFriends & her husband!
I am so excited that we are just 2 weeks and 2 days away. And in the meantime one of my best friends and her husband is leaving this Friday for a 6 day trip to Orlando. Her husband has a work conference but my friend will have the whole trip to play and have fun. So I will be living vicariously through her and by the time she gets back there will be just 6 days before I leave! :)
The Harlem Globetrotters were SO fun! We had a wonderful time and I even talked Kevin into one last birthday present for himself and he bought a really nice Globetrotters basketball jersey for himself. It was a great way to spend New Year’s Eve with lots of laughter and our favorite sport!
Hope this week is treating you well and talk to you soon! ~Krista
Hi Shirley!
Just thought I'd check in and say hi and see how you are doing! Are you still very busy at work? Every time I think about my trip countdown and leaving on 2/5 I think about how your surgery will be just before that. I hope when you have a chance you can update us on how you are doing and I will certainly be praying for you that everything goes as planned for you!
I was a little sad this morning I thought we had gotten Buddy back on the right track with his litter box issues when he had an accident this morning...well several accidents! He not only went #2 in several places between my kitchen and his litter box but he also got sick all over my dining room. :( But I really felt bad for the poor guy. I think he was trying to get to the litter box and just couldn't make it and then went to his favorite chair in the dining room to hide...only to end up getting sick too. I have a few more things I want to try now to see if it will help him out. He is lucky he is adorable as well as a loyal and loving companion or I might have less patience with all this yucky stuff! ;)
Hope the start of 2010 has been treating you well! Talk to you soon!
Happy New Year to you as well! My Christmas trip to Disneyland was beautiful! It was a bit crowded but we managed to do all of our favorites so we had a great time. I also got to go to Santa's Reindeer Round-up, and they had real Turkeys and Reindeer! It was so cute to see them, and Pluto is there taking pictures, and they have a little station for kids to sit and color and make crafts. It was really neat to see. Do you know when your next trip will be? New Years was quiet for me as well, I'm not really big on celebrating New years. I always find myself staying at home and just celebrating with family. I am sorry to hear that work has been crazy and that you are getting surgery soon! I hope all gets better for you, I will be praying it does! At least you wont have to be out for too long after the surgery, I'm sure everything will work out fine. Well, its nice to hear the weather is nice for you! I hope to hear from you soon!...
Hi Manda,
I'm glad to hear that you had a fun time at WDW. We had a very quiet Christmas and New Years. Thank goodness there was no snow this year. Things are crazy at work. I'm trying to get my new backup trained. Guess I'll only be off three weeks after the surgery, so that's a relief. Thanks for writing, and have a fun weekend.
Hello there friend! Hows it going? Its been a while since I have talked to you, I just wanted to come by and say hi! How were your holidays? Anything new and exciting going on? Well, I hope to hear from you soon! Have a magical weekend! :D
I Shirley. :) It was good to get your comment. I'm doing ok. I've been busy with getting stuff together for the holidays and before that we were gone for a week at WDW to celebrate my sister's birthday. We had a great time. :)
I should be around more now that things have calmed down a bit.
I'm sorry to hear about the cancer business. :( I hope everything works out and you're back to 100% soon! :)
