Every time we go to WDW, I make a series of posts in my LiveJournal to countdown to our departure. :) It's just something fun to do to help the time go faster, and it gives me something to do on my lazy Sunday afternoons.
So here we go. My fourth annual (sort of) DisneyWorld Countdown of DOOM(TM)! :D
When I was trying to decide what the theme should be this time, I couldn't help but think about all of the yummy food and snacks we've consumed at WDW over the last few trips.… Continue

Today (Aug. 29) I saw the new documentary about Richard and Robert Sherman, titled The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story. I loved this movie, and the clips and soundbites of their songs bring back lots of childhood memories. Many of their songs have stayed with me for as long as I can remember. It's a shame that there is this rift that exists between them. Fortunately for us it has not gotten in the way of their work together. I recommend this movie to all my… Continue

True, the food is not the highest quality one can find on Disney property (Club 55, anyone?), but when it comes to deciding on a lunch or dinner that will appease the entire group (at WDW's Magic Kingdom, that is), I cannot think of a better choice. The menu is large enough to offer many choices, obviously, one receives ordered sustenance rather quickly and meals for the whole fam won't break the bank.
I must also mention the free "live" entertainment. The puns are awful and the… Continue

My favorite restaurant, so far in the Disneyland Resort, is found in Frontier Land, Rancho del Zocalo. I'm a huge fan of Mexican food, no wonder I'm from San Diego. The ambiance of the outdoor seating is fantastic. I suggest going in the evening with a loved one and enjoying the paper laterns. There's also outdoor heaters if you need to keep warm and toasty.
The menu is simple and the cost is no more pricey than any other service counter restaurant, it may be a few dollars more but… Continue

Well as most of you know, back in march I was offered an internship in hotel operations with Disneyland. On the 15th of this month I packed up my car and drove from Denver to Anaheim to start my new chapter with the Disney Company. after 4 days on the road stopping in vegas (Dirty place) and every goofy tourist shop I made it!! I moved into my new Apartment last tuesday, which is only 2 miles from Disney, and got to know my new roommates. Everyone I live with works from Disney! One is a… Continue
I can't believe it's been almost nine months since I last posted. So, this post has nothing to do with the prompt, but I felt the need to post anyway. This year has been rather crazy, full of good times and bad... and of course, Disney is always there to help me feel better when I'm down and to enhance a day that's already going well.
Tomorrow is my last first day of school. I will be graduating in December, so the next four months are extremely important in terms of finding a job...… Continue
Thank you to all my Disney friends for the Happy Birthday wishes. It was a good day. I guess the only way it could have been better is if I had been at the "Happiest Place on Earth"

Here's something randomly cool!! I saw a license plate on my way to work this morning that said Mky Mouz in Nebraka!! And it was a nebraksa plate!! I was soo excited. maybe it's just me but I get really excited when I see disney things on cars in nebraska...it's not like we are close to any park...I even took a pic on my cell phone...I'm sure I probably looked like a creeper lol.
What are your fun stories about seeing disney away from the "world" or "land?"
My name is Catherine but some people call me Katie, I am a 25 year old Disney Freak from Utica, Michigan. I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida and moved to the icy tundra known as Michigan at age 13. My grandpa retired from Disney so I blame my obsession on him since he always took me to Disney for all of my birthdays, Christmas and whenever he felt like it. I married my wonderful husband, Steve, on October 26, 2007, he is now a… Continue
It has been brought to my attention by a dear Disfriend Friend that I have not been on here with updates of any sort. Everything with my cervical cancer is going very well. I am officially in remission! I went in and had the tumor removed and I am on my way to being healthy again. So soon I will be back on my feet and doing everything I used to do. First step... Get a job! lol. Then... a Disney vacation to celebrate.
Thank you... all of you.... for being supportive and caring. It has… Continue
The Hundred-Acre Wood seems a little emptier today -- at least, the Walt Disney version of it. First, Paul Winchell died Friday at the age of 82. He was probably one of the most versatile voice-actors on Saturday-morning cartoons; not only did he voice "T - I - double Guh - Er -- That spells Tigger!",
but Dick Dastardly, Gargamel of the Smurfs, and Fleagle of the Banana Splits.
(He was also an inventor, coming up with an… Continue
