This is waaaaaaaaaaay late... but I haven't been in the mood to sit and do it. And I've been busy seeing Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D and celebrating Mum's birthday.

Week #3: Mickey Shaped Goodies
Now it's no surprise that WDW is teeming with delicious Mickey Mouse shaped goodies. What is awesome though is the variety of things that are Mickey shaped. They have everything from ice cream sandwiches to delicious cheese ravioli in the shape of this famous mouse. Most of these are snack items on the dining plan. We've had nomilicious Mickey shaped snacks at all parks in the World. A favourite of ours is the Mickey Krispie… Continue

It has been a couple of weeks since this happened but I wanted to just reiterate why I think Disney has the best employees anywhere!
On my honeymoon I encountered 2 HORRIFIC CMs which I mentioned in my trip/honeymoon report.
About 3 weeks ago I was brushing my teeth when the phone rang. I didn't get to it in time but they left a message and it was the director of guest services at WDW. He offered his sincerest apologies for what happened, said there was… Continue

hi guys so i'm back a few days now and feeling a bit less like crawling into a corner and crying so i should probably tell you a little about my holiday. first of all it was a great holiday with my family that was spoiled a little because of those tour groups of teenagers that go around the park and i'm sorry if any of you out there have been on those tours but i'm sure i'm not the only one that has ever had trouble with them. but anyway we tried not to make it get to us too much so the less… Continue

We woke up today knowing our time at Disney was ending. We drove over to Centertown and ate breakfast and took some pictures. The main pool area at the Caribbean Beach Resort is modeled after Old Port Royale.
The children's play area is modeled after a pirate ship and includes a HUGE barrel that fills and then dumps.… Continue

As I mentioned before, our trip was to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. This trip we wanted to do some different things rather than the routine and one thing was to eat in restaurants where we hadn't eaten before or hadn't eaten there in a long time. Thus our selection of Shutters' Restaurant to celebrate our anniversary.
Shutters' is the table service restaurant at the Caribbean Beach Resort. We had never eaten there so before arriving at the resort, we had reviewed the… Continue

When we woke up Tuesday morning, we headed over to Centertown for breakfast. After breakfast, we drove over to Typhoon Lagoon. When we renewed our annual passes, we noticed a strange code on the back and when we asked what it was, the cast member told us Disney was giving their annual passholders a free day at a water park (Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach). We like Typhoon Lagoon a tad better since the water is warmer than Blizzard Beach (Blizzard Beach's water comes off a "melting glacier" so… Continue

Monday, July 6th, we headed over to Disney for a short 3 day vacation to celebrate our anniversary which was Tuesday. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort which has become our second favorite Disney resort (Wilderness Lodge is still our first). We arrived about 3:00 and since we had used on-line check-in (which is super easy to do and cuts check in wait time down to basically nothing!), we were in our room by 3:10. Our room was in "Jamaica" and overlooked the lake. It was lovely and quiet… Continue

Just a quick update on the progress of our trip. Our ADR's were made on Sunday. I had my TA make them which was really hard giving up that control. I sat here on my computer that morning waiting on the email to come saying what they got us. I was so tempted to pick up the phone and call myself but I didn't. We got everything we wanted and most of them the exact times or within 20 minutes so I was thrilled.
Here is our list:
9/13/09 - Epcot - Coral Reef @ 11:30

We just booked for the last week of AUG :)
We have a family suite at the Saratoga Resort.
Anyone else been there? I heard it's large but amazing.

It is now less than 2 weeks to our week long trip to the World. We are super excited. Now I'm watching cartoons to prepare myself. I'm already starting to pack. I'm so excited that I can't even express my thoughts fully.
By the way, Up was a wonderful movie. I've already seen it twice. The dog pack is the best. They really captured the dogs' thoughts while still keeping them very dog-like. I laughed until I cried when I heard Alpha's voice.

I did the Disney Birthday thing this weekend. We missed my husband's birthday by one day, my older daughter by 3 days and my younger daughter by 3 days. So I insisted on taking work off for my REAL birthday and going to WDW.
I don't need free park entry because I am a passholder, so I got a Disney Hollywood Studios Birthday Fastpass. You can get 6 fast passes, 3 in each of 2 categories. Cateogry 1 includes Toy Story Mania, Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. Category 2 includes… Continue

I've been so busy and excited about my trip that I totally forgot about posting a journal! My plane leaves in exactly 5 hours and I doube I'll have any access to internet, much less a computer. So farewell my Disfriends! Pics and info will be coming back with me! And maybe even a scuba dive story at The Living Sea since I have my scuba license now!

I don't know why, but whenever we're on vacation our clothes seem to expand some time between unpacking on day one and packing again a couple of days before returning back home. To be able to get all of our dirty laundry back home again we had to go shopping for a bag. Luckily enough the hubby had seen a nice canvas bag that he just had to buy :)
Thanks to the shopping we arrived at Animal Kingdom a later than originally planned. This was our last chance to go on all the favorite… Continue

To us, a trip to Orlando would not be complete without a stop at Sea World. It was a increadibly hot day, between 90 and 95 and it was almost hard to move. We decided to focus on the shows and our favorite animals rather than walking through it all.
The Dolphin & whale show was absolutely fantastic! Obviously there were dolphins and whales, and those animals
are always amazing no matter what they do. To spice it up a little the had added some really great… Continue

To extend or not to extend the park tickets, that is the question. Seven days is a little too short when you can only go to WDW once a year. Upon arrival on our second day at Animal Kingdom we went straight to Customer Relations to extend our tickets with an extra 3 days. The other things that we had planned suddenly didn't feel all that important. Especially since the castmember who helped us to extend our park tickets gave us fastpasses that we could use on any attraction we'd… Continue

Back for yet another day in Magic Kingdom. I don't know what it is, but everytime I pass those gates I get this bubbly feeling inside and I get all happy.
On our way to Magic Kingdom we talked about favorite attractions at the park. How do you choose? Just for fun we decided to go on all boat rides after each other and then do the same with all the music attractions and then just go on the attractions with the shortest lines.
So, before lunch we went on Pirates of the… Continue
