DisFriends

My day started when I was in search for an elusive Peter Pan hat I need for my Halloween costume. I know I know, I am wearing one in my default pic here on Disfriends, but I didnt purchase it, just used it for the photo. Anyway, after calling the merchandise center, they told me the only places to find the hat were at the UK in EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom. I also asked the cast member if she can locate any PAL Mickeys on property. Yet another thing I have procrastinated about and never picked up. And when I heard they were being dis-continued, my desire for one grew enormously. Well, the cast member unfortunately was unable to locate anymore PAL Mickeys anywhere on property. "Oh well..." I thought, and made my way over to EPCOT for my Peter Pan hat.

Made the mad dash over to the UK with the thoughts swirling in my head of one lonely Peter Pan hat sitting on the shelf, and just as it was within my grasp, a little old lady would snatch it right before me. But thankfully when I got to the shop, there were about 30 left and I had acquired the final piece of my Halloween costume(which Lauren the errand girl has been putting together by hand for me because the adult size Pan costume is really hard to find).

Now, I know the title of this post is PAL Mickeys, well, here is where that comes in to play. Just for kicks on the way out of EPCOT, I decided to cut through MouseGears. I literally made two trips around the store before I spotted them. Three Fantasia Editon Pal Mickeys sitting on a shelf seemingly blending in with other stuffed animals. Almost as if someone had hid them away in kind of a false hoped law-away program. But I snatched mine up, and mere minutes later the other two were grabbed off the shelf.

It was kind of bittersweet to think that I just witnessed the purchase of the final three PAL Mickeys available in EPCOT. I am contemplating not even opening mine. I may just put it in the box next to my 25th anniversary limited edition Figment plush with the mis-spellings on it and forget about them for a few years.

Have a magical day everyone!

I went to the magic kingdom and downtown Disney and everyone was completely dry. I had to call the Disney merchandise center for exact pin point location of said Peter Pan hats. :)

You can find Peter Pan hats at the Toontown hall of Fame tent as well -- just in case you ever need another one! lol! :)
