Name that tune: What Disney songs put you in a magical mood?
They kind of all do... The reason I listen to Disney music at all is for it to put me in that emotional space. It doesn't really matter if it's the soundtracks to Sleeping Beauty and Fantasia or Dee Fisher's Echos of Disneyland and Fess Parker's Cowboy and Indian Songs.
That said, my favorites include those four, as well as the soundtracks to Snow White and Peter Pan, the Sleeping Beauty Castle loop, the WDW Peter Pan's Flight queue loop, Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean ride-throughs, the Enchanted Tiki Room show, and Walt Disney Takes You To Disneyland. I would say the "soundtrack to the Grand Canyon Diorama" since I've come to love Ferde Grofe's Grand Canyon Suite, but that's because it now reminds me of the actual Grand Canyon!

I have put several on our NFFC club site; www.mountainears.org I am just getting to the ST (story teller) ones. It will take me awhile as i have been collecting them over the last 10 years.

I bet... Its the neat little things like that which I wish were still there. I'm a fan of the ol' Penny Arcade, Main St. Cinema, and all the small, passive, "cultural" things.
So what else are you pulling off Disneyland Records? And what's your Soulseek identity? ^_~

- Great comments on the classics Cory! I have been having a wonderful time listening and recordign the early Disneyland label records. Echo's of Disneyland has an outstanding picture of Main Street at night from 1956. Dee Fisher would often be heard playing the organ in the Wurlizter Store as people left Disneyland at closing.
