As you may have heard, Disney and Hewlett Packard have teamed up to bring you an in depth and mind blowing look behind the scenes of Disney's upcoming 3-D, Computer animated film "A Christmas Carol." I had the opportunity to visit this awesome exhibit in my hometown (Albuquerque, NM), yesterday, June 5th 2009, just before it opened to the public. All I can say is WOW! I don't know how much this cost... but WOW!!! The entire spectacle has the feel of a tiny theme park. the Train is adorned front to back and top to bottom with "Christmas Carol" themed graphics, The interior is STUFFED with HUNDREDS of monitors and screens showing in depth behind the scene vignettes about the making of the movie. There are Costumes, models, concept art, Face morphing stations... and GARY OLDMAN (Sirius Black, Commissioner Gordon) as Tiny Tim... Seriously. Outside the train, there are Carolers strolling around singing Christmas carols, Victorian style street lamps, SNOW MACHINES!!! AND a flippin'' INFLATABLE MOVIE THEATER!!! Oh and did I mention that it's FREE!!! So if you see this train headed your way, DON'T MISS IT!!! It is an amazing "Christmas in June" or "Disneyland in your backyard" kind of experience. Did I mention that it's FREE!

See it all depends. I was able to go before the general public, it was wide open and not crowded. I was actually right behind the Mayor's group touring the train. On the flip side I also heard of people waiting 2 hrs + in line. I think it really matters what time you get there. If it opens at 9am try to be there a half hour early and they will most likely let you in right away, I heard of a few people able to do that.

My husband has been up in the air about my pleas to head down to Chicago for its stop there next month. I'm so going to tell him about your good review and hopefully I can convince him we need to go check it out, sounds fantastic! :)
