We arrived home from our wonderful Disney vacation yesterday afternoon. We had an awesome time!!! I loved the French Quarter and will probably want to stay there from now on. It was so quiet and the hotel had great theming. The parks were crowded, some wait times were up to 80 minutes, which I think is long. We waited 60 minutes to see Tink in Pixie Hollow. Our favorite ride was Toy Story Mania, that is soooo cool. My 5 year old loved it!!! We had gotten to HS at park opening and by the time we got to TSM, there was an 80 minute wait. I jumped in the FP line and waited about 15 minutes to get a FP, thank goodness that I did because my FP's were for between 12& 1:00. When it was our time, we only waited about 10-15 minutes in the FP line. We loved the Bippity Boppity Boutique, it was very cute!! My youngest became Tinkerbell and was gorgeous!!! My oldest just got the hair, nails and makeup. Both of the girls wore their hair for two days, they used enough "Stitch Slobber" for a whole group of girls on one of their heads!!! The hair was going nowhere. We only got one package that included the photos, but both girls got their photos taken and we were able to mix & match the package. We ate dinner at a few different hotels this time, our favorite was the Cape May Cafe at the Yacht and Beach Club. It is the clam bake and great if you like steamed clams!!! We had eaten at Chef Mickey's one evening and we were the family of the day, so the girls got to open the restaurant and drop the rope, sign Mickey's autograph book and they gave each of them a certificate and we received a 6x8 photo of the girls with Mickey. I had reserved the horse and carraige ride for Riverside and would probably not do it again. I felt bad for the horse having to work like that all day. He kept stopping and at one point, we had to pull over and let him rest for like 10-15 minutes! We did not get the full ride like others, we saw people coming through the French Quarter by our hotel all week, but we came nowhere near it. Secondly, apparently the price went up sometime after I had made my ressie. we were told $35 for 25 minutes, it actually is $45 for 30 mins. I personally did not enjoy it, others may. Any questions, please let me know, other than that, it was a GREAT vacation!!!!

I think you are right Jiminy, that would be very nice for the gilrs to ride their own horses. Like I said, others may enjoy the carriage ride, but it just was not for me, I guess that I expected something magical and I really did feel bad for the horse.

3 hour wait!!!!!! That is crazy and I cannot even imagine, you would only be able to get on a few rides!!!

First of all, welcome home! Glad you made the trip safely! As for the carriage ride.....sorry to say but it is just a carriage ride.......so perhaps next time you take the girls over to the Campground and let them ride their own horses!!!
Cape May is very nice, and it is true at Spring Break time the waits can be lengthy....I remember one time when we were there for New Years Eve there was a wait of like 3 hours for the Peter Pan Flight! Can you imagine that???? I mean it is nice and all.....but you spent so much time waiting for a 5-6 minute ride! Fast Pass and single rider lines are the way to go!

Sounds like a fantastic time! I LOVE LOVE LOVE French Quarter. When we decided to go DVC it was the only thing that was holding me back because I knew it meant less stays there. We've been back once since for two quick nights and I told my husband that I'd love to try and get at least 2 nights in there every now and then with our trips.

Being family of the day at Chef Mickey's sounds like it was fun! Glad you had such a good time there and at Cape May. We've done the character breakfast at Cape May but not the clambake. My husband has been interested in going for that so I'm glad to hear a good review!
