Awww thank you so much for the Mickey! It made me so excited I had to print a copy out and attach him to my PC as motivation to make it through my last two days of work. Then I got extremely silly and turned the webcam on my Mac on and turned it towards my PC so I could take a picture of it and show you how I attached Mickey to my PC. :) Hopefully you'll see him in the picture!

I'm glad the doctor got you some medication! It is such a weird coincidence that we both got ill so close to our trips. But at least we will both be in top shape for Disney and whatever else remains will be cured by Disney magic!!! :)

That is fabulous news that you're going to be able to meet up with friends during your trip! I'm so excited my next two trips I am going to get to meet DisFriends. In February for our quick anniversary trip I'm working on plans with GreatBigBeautifulTomorrow and this coming August we just booked a trip to take my husband's brother, wife & 4 kids which will be just after Dizneefan82 starts his International Program year at Epcot!!! So my fingers will be crossed that your next trip we will be more lucky and overlap! But I'll definitely be there in spirit with you during your trip! :)

Happy Monday! AHHHH I LEAVE ON FRIDAY!!!! It is totally unbelievable that the big day is so close. Which of course means you are getting extremely close to the end of your countdown as well!
Yay for A Christmas Carol! I'm so glad you liked it as well. And yes the part I hated is the exact same part you hated! What were they thinking???? I think they were trying to infuse some action and put a little new spin on things but it just didn't make sense. How can you make such a classic retelling of the story but then have one segment that is totally off base??? I agree, when it comes out on DVD its likely I will just skip right through that part.
Agreed also that it was fairly intense! I have to admit I was a little freaked out by Marley in particular. That part was so loud…loud noises do it every time for me. Its why I have a hard time enjoying Dinosaur at DAK. :) But overall yes quite wonderful!!! I hope there is something in some way shape or form to celebrate it at the parks at WDW.
Are you feeling any better yet? I hope so! Although I will say that it is far better for you to have been sick now than it would be to be sick for your trip! That is what I kept telling myself when I was sick the other week. While it didn't make me feel better physically, mentally it was a huge relief! :)
Kevin gave me quite the wonderful surprise last night! I was getting ready to go to bed when he happily marched into the room waving two pieces of paper in his hand. Turned out he bought us tickets to go to Sea World! I'm so excited!!! I have been to Sea World San Diego once but it was many many moons ago when I was 17. He decided with the long trip it was worth trying out something new. I was extremely surprised because we'd talked about it awhile back but decided against it since we've already put so much money into our WDW annual passes and figured we should save it for a year when we don't do the APs.
So while our WDW planning has kind of been more or less squared away now we have Sea World planning to keep us busy until Friday. :) Oooh also I have to reschedule one of our dinner reservations, we have a Nine Dragons dinner reservation for this Sunday that I'm going to have to move as it looks like Sunday is the day we'll be headed to Sea World.
Well I hope your week is off to a wonderful start. I am sure I will check in at least once or twice more before we leave Friday. Hope you are feeling better!!!!!!!!!!
:) Krista

Hello!!!! I'm finally doing better! Its been a long time since I was that sick, I went to the doctor and I had a bad cold in my lungs which is particularly bad for me because I have asthma. But I've been laying low and just being SO thankful that this happened now and not just before or even during the big trip!

Less than one month before you leave!!! Been doing any last minute planning? Did you get a chance to see Disney's Christmas Carol?

I got a copy of UP this week! And the best part was Kevin likes it so much he's already watched it twice since Tuesday!!!

Well I hope all is well by you and you're having a great weekend! Talk to you soon!!!

Hi Daniel,
Thank you for he cute Ariel Christmas note. The Little Memaid is one of my favorite movies.
Are you planning a Chritmas trip to WDW? I've only been to Disneyland, but have never seen it decorated at Christmas. Have a great week.

Thanks for the beautiful Christmas note! Ariel looks so pretty all decked out in her Christmas gear! haha!! I'm so jealous that you're going to Disney in a month! I used to work there and it was the best time of my life!

Thanks for the Christmas note! I know you can't wait until you are at WDW! We were over there last week with our 2 great-nieces and thoroughly enjoyed the day and the Halloween decorations. We are going to be over there from December 2nd to the 5th. We tried to get rooms in either the value category or the moderate category and there were none available for those dates (we're retired and we can't find any free dates other than those to go over!). We're staying off site - we were able to get a really good rate in the Marriott Village which is just outside Disney. We may make some day trips after that, but that will be our "annual Christmas excursion."

We haven't seen "Christmas Carol" yet, but I just ordered "UP: from amazon.com. What do you think about making that the movie of the month for November?

Take care and I hope the next month goes really fast for you!

Thank you for the Ariel note - I love it! Today I am unhappy to say I've come down with a quite bad cold and feel awful. But I am happy to say that all our Christmas talk inspired me to finally put The Polar Express on! I believe you mentioned awhile back that its one of your favorites and I might have mentioned that while Kevin had bought me a used copy of it a couple years ago already I had never put it on for whatever reason.

Well I am just disgusted with myself for not watching this sooner! I LOVED IT! The story is wonderful, the music is fantastic and it really lifted my spirits which was much needed because of how crummy I feel from being sick!

Time for me to head back to resting but it just ended and I had to leave you a note and tell you how much I enjoyed it. Hope you are having a good week!

PS-I still hear the bells! I always will! :)

Thanks, Daniel! A bit early, but since it's MVMCP season I may as well start Season's Greetings as well! ;)

Hi Daniel,
I wrote to you a fews ago about your Disney on Ice pictures. I went to the Disney on Ice Worlds of Fantasy last night. It was my first time, and it was so much fun. The cars from "Cars" were there, and the characters from "The Lion King", "The Little Mermaid" and "Tinkerbell from Pixie Hollow" were featured. I didn't get any pictures - always check your camera batteries.. Anyway, I wanted to let you know what a magical evening it was. Have a fun weekend.

I just got back from the movie! Gosh I don't know where to start and some things I will leave be until after you've seen it so as not to give anything away. (Although how much can be given away about a retelling of a classic story I'm not sure LOL)

It was definitey better than I expected, I think the lack of connection I felt during the previews did not hold true for the movie itself. I thought it was very engaging. The story was fairly faithfully retold and quite seriously told for the most part as well. Not a lot of foolishness thrown in (a little but not much!) - its definitely not a Mickey's Christmas Carol type version!

SO GLAD I saw it in 3D, I think so much would've been lost without the 3D for this movie. There were parts in 3D that were so good I actually had to take my glasses off as I was getting a bit sick! Motion and I just don't agree in general.

And the SNOW! There was a scene early on where my mom and I both inadvertently reached out and then started giggling at how foolish we both were. But it was good enough we got caught up for just a second in that moment. :)

The theater we saw it in is a brand new set up here and is called IMAX 3D. I would imagine this already exists at other theaters in other cities, we don't always get the newest technology right away. But it was really incredible. I don't know much about technical things to know how much to attribute the excellent picture and quality to the movie vs. the theater set up but it was by far the best 3D I've ever seen.

There was only one part I absolutely did not enjoy at all, but I'll save that discussion for after you've had a chance to see it. I think since I literally just got back from seeing it I'm still thinking about my total opinon but I would say better than I expected with some quite moving scenes but not 100% perfect for me - maybe more like 80-90%?

Can't wait to hear what you think! :) And I'm definitely in the Christmas spirit now - I want to find my recording of the Christmas parade song and try and figure out those lyrics to weigh in on that discussion as well. :)

Happy Friday!!! Oooh, wait…is it even still Friday by you? OK according to google it is almost 10 pm by you so I guess my Happy Friday is just narrowly getting in under the wire. :) How has your week been?

I was SO excited when I saw your note about extra Fantasmic shows being added, I checked WDW Info’s site and they have a ton added! The best part is my mom has only seen Fantasmic once on her first trip and it was her favorite thing we did that trip. The last trip we never got in in and originally it didn’t look like we were going to get it in this trip either. But as of right now it looks like there should be a 6:30 show the night we were already planning on doing the Osborne Lights. HOORAY! :)

That is fantastic that you’ve already seen the Disney On Ice show coming here! Honestly I would’ve gone either way but originally I wasn’t very excited about it being a Princess show. But if you thought it was enjoyable that makes me much more excited about it! Plus the flyer I got in the mail does have a picture of Mickey on it…so as long as there’s at least a little of the mouse in it too that makes me happy too. ;)

I LOVE YOUR ARIEL PIN!!!! Is that something available in the parks as well? One of my best friends loves TLM as well and that would make a delightful little Christmas present for her.

I just saw this pin on Mousesteps.com the other day – I want it so bad!

I’m going to see if they still have it when I get to WDW (3 weeks from today!!!!) and if they don’t then I’ll order one on eBay. Generally there are some Halloween pins still floating around when we’ve been there in December in the past so I’m hoping I’ll find this one.

Well tomorrow or Sunday I will check in with you about what I thought about A Christmas Carol. I was shocked today when I went to the magazine Entertainment Weekly’s website, I get the magazine at home but I was anxious to see what they rated the movie before tomorrow when my magazine comes. They gave an an “A”! Only time will tell what I will think of it I guess…

Thank you SOOOOOO much for the addresses to Jodi, you are incredible!!! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I've been sadly computerless! Ho was the Disney on Ice show? I wanted to see it SO badly, but was unable too, it looked magical! The princess fairytale type theme just looked perfect.

I had fun in Disneyland as always! I was happy to enjoy the Halloween Decor before they changed it up for Christmas Timeee! Which is my favorite!! I love seeing the " snow" on the tips of the castle and knowing soon it will be drenched it lights. Seeing the Huge Christmas tree backstage just gets me soo pumped for the holidays :)

I see your countdown to WDW, take me with you!!!! haha You excited?! Ofcourseee you are! <3

Your page has gone Christmas red and green! I love it!

Thank you so much for the "See you this month" Mickey, it seriously made my week! :)

Well I'm afraid my report on A Christmas Carol is going to be delayed a few days. Originally my Mom was to go with me and then she couldn't go. Then one of my girlfriends was going but decided she didn't want to see it not in 3D. Kevin said he would take me but wasn't that excited about it and my mom asked if I could go see it a 2nd time when she was available to see it. Suddenly a free pass for two became very complicated! So I decided to forget it and I just pre ordered tickets for my Mom & I to see it in 3D this Saturday. I'm a little disapointed but I know seeing it in 3D will be more fun anyway,

My weekend was good. In the end we skipped going to Six Flags because it was VERY windy and only 40 degrees outside! Brrr!!! But we did still get our lunch at Rainforest Cafe because we didn't realize how cold and windy it was till we were almost there anyway! (Both places are about an hour from our house) And there's a nice big Disney Store there which we had fun poking around in too. They have all their Christmas stuff out! I nearly started considering purchasing everything in the store but Kevin pointed out that there will be 10,000 times the wonderful Christmas things to purchase once we actually get to WDW. :)

Hope your week is off to a great start!!! :)

Happy Friday! I am so jealous that you got to see UP a second time, they are running the commercials now for the DVD/BluRay release. I told Kevin last night that I insist we pick it up the very first day and that he watches it with me that night! I really think he’ll enjoy it – while he shares my love of Disney vacations he’s not necessarily that die hard about the movies.

Guess what? Kevin got me a ticket to a free screening of A Christmas Carol for Monday!!! I don’t think its in 3D which is a shame but if I enjoy it I won’t have a problem going back to see it again in 3D since I’d planned on paying to see it to begin with. I know they usually overbook these screenings so I plan to get there about 90 minutes before the movie actually starts and hopefully secure a spot! I hope to have a full report on what I thought about it Tuesday for you! And I have to say that when you mentioned they way they’ve done the characters not feeling right to you – that totally clicked for me. I think maybe that is what has been bothering me too! I saw a preview again right after reading your note and all I could think was – he is definitely on to something here! :)

Big plans for the weekend? Tonight our Zoo is open until 9 pm for Halloween I’m hoping we can stop by after dinner…pending the rain ever letting up. Its been raining for like 3 days in a row! :( Tommorrow we are headed to our local Six Flags theme park one last time with our season passes and then going to the nearby Rainforest Café for lunch, there’s a Disney store at the mall the RFC is in so that will be our last stop before heading home to hand out trick or treat candy. It will be like a mini Disney day!

Kevin has season tickets for the local NBA team the Milwaukee Bucks, after our fun day he will be headed to their first home game of the season with his best friend. I’m not looking forward to sitting home alone on Halloween night (eek!) but I’ll be so tried from our adventures during the day tomorrow I’ll probably just to sleep early.

Hope you are having a great week and have a wonderful weekend!!!
