It all started in March 1984 when my family embarked on our first Walt Disney World vacation. We drove from Ontario to Florida with a pop-up trailer in tow. My parents must have been glutton for punishment with three boys sharing the backseat of a station wagon for the 18 hour trip. We returned again in March 1985 and then again about every other year after that, always camping at Fort Wilderness--the shangri-la of campgrounds.
It was the Walt Disney World of Entertainment program that really fueled my fascination with Walt Disney World. The program took kids backstage at the Magic Kingdom to view the underground Utilidors, attend a performance of the Diamond Horseshoe Revue (after meeting the dancing girls backstage) and join the Dapper Dans in a private performance. At 9 years old, it left me with a deep appreciation for how the show goes on all around you at Disney. We enrolled in the program again during our next trip in 1987 and it was then that I became determined to one day become a Walt Disney World cast member.
Fast forward to 1997. While attending university I saw a poster recruiting for the Walt Disney World International Programs. I attended a presentation and interview and after a nail-biting wait received word that I had been accepted at a Cultural Representative at Epcot's Canada pavilion.

Oh my goodness...I just realized that I totally forgot about this part of my profile and thought I'd write back. I just got back from my CP...I lived in Vista (of course) and I did custodial at DAK. I absolutely loved it and I plan on returning in July as seasonal. I eventual would like to work with WDW Environmentality program or Animal Programs at DAK. Sorry I took forever to get back to you. |

Hey trent! Just thought I would ask about the profile picture/avatar page. For some reason, it isnt giving me the option for uploading my own picture. Is it a broken iFrame? |
